Full Replacement of Sash Box Window
In cases where a repair or rebuild of windows would not produce the best results, we are able to to offer a replacement service that includes the sash boxes, painted and draught-proofed. Prior to this, we would provide a full inspection of the window to determine the best solution we can provide.
When we provide and fit a new sash box window, which can be single glazed (4mm) or double glazed (24mm) argon filled sealed unit (U Value 1.2). All glazed units have toughened glass to lower sash windows to comply with building regulations.
Sashes are painted to a finish in brilliant white, unless otherwise agreed.
Sashes are draught proofed with a draught proofed parting bead and staff bead brush system. Meeting rails to be similarly draught proofed.
Sashes are hung on plain no.8 or no.10 sash cord with pulley wheels & counterbalanced with lead weights
Sashes are manufactured in hardwood (red grandis) in replica style, mouldings, proportions and any glazing bars to existing sashes.
All sash window furniture is fitted in polished brass, polished chrome or satin chrome and includes sash hook fastener & key, sash security stops and key, and sash lifts if desired.
